A second year Wildcat, Helen attends Kaiapoi High School. She's represented Canterbury at U19, U17, and U15 levels, and in 2018 travelled to Belarus with the NZ U18 team.

Sammy Duggan

Point Guard

Renowned for her hustle at both ends, Sammy Duggan is an all rounder, an amazing athlete with a big heart! In addition to rowing at Clemson University in the States and playing basketball, she's a triathlete who recently completed her first Half Iron man.

Amiee Book

Shooting Guard

Amiee moved to Christchurch from Nelson to finish school at Middleton Grange and dominated the stats sheets in the Whelan Trophy. She also represented Canterbury U19's and the NZ U18 team that travelled to Guam in 2017. A pure shooter with real height she's a tough matchup for any defense.

Fran Edmondson

Power Forward

The 2016 WBC Most Valuable Player is looking to back it up again this year. Fran brings craftiness and poise to the post position and is a tough competitor.

Ajiah Pepe

Shooting Guard

Ajiah hails from Queensland where she honed her basketball skills. We're fortunate that she decided to cross the Tasman to study at Lincoln University! She's explosive and her handles and athleticism are off the charts.

Laken Wairau

Shooting Guard

A former CGHS star, Laken's a home grown talent who joins us again after a stint as an Indiana Hoosier. She's a former Junior Tall Fern, an age group Canterbury rep, a Nationals secondary schools champion and a physical force on the court known for her pin point passing.

Shea Crotty

Point Guard (C)

Our pocket rocket and a key member of the 2016 championship squad, captain Crotty is known for inspirational leadership both on and off the court and absolutely fearsome defense (as well as the occasional NBA range three). She's played for NZ as a Tall Fern, had a stint in Melbourne at the Sunbury Jets and now she's back wearing the red and black.

Terina Wanoa

Point Guard

Terina is a speedy guard who leads from the front and shows grit. Terina is a also a talented rugby player.

Sapphire Wairau

Point Guard

A Christchurch Girls High star Sapphire (while still at school) was a key member of our 2017 championship team with her solid distribution and sharp shooting, not to mention great on-ball defense. A regular red and black age group rep, Sapphire has also represented NZ U16. She currently studies at Canterbury University.

Connie Poletti

Power Forward

Connie first played for the Wildcats in 2015, and after a stint in the USA she returns to bring her trademark power and hustle to the post position. A key member our 2017 championship squad, Connie studies at Lincoln University and is also a star in the 3x3 game.

Darcy Rose


Darcy had a very successful college career at Dartmouth University and as one of our foreign players brings huge energy and leadership to the team. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Linguistics at the University of Canterbury, and plays a tough physical inside game.

Tsubasa Nisbet

Small Forward

A solid performer at Burnside High School Basa has represented Canterbury and New Zealand age group teams. She's known for her physicality inside the paint and her solid work ethic.

Sofia Kennedy

Point guard

Canterbury born and bred and a Middleton Grange product Sofia is a young point guard known for her speed and handles. A Junior Tall Fern in 2018 she's also a cross country runner and wore the black singlet for NZ Secondary Schools at last years World Champs in Paris.

Lauryn Hippolite

Shooting Guard

Lauryn is a talented guard from Nelson who brings energy on defense and control on offense. She has great court awareness and gained NZ selection honours in 2017 for NZU18.
